A significant construction milestone has been reached on the Hangzhou section of the Hangzhou-Chun'an-Kaihua Expressway, with the successful completion of the steel trestle bridge at the Fenkou Bridge TJ14 section. The final bridge deck panel was precisely installed, marking the full connection of this critical piece of infrastructure.
This steel trestle, stretching an impressive 1,038.58 meters in length with a deck width of 8 meters and a standard span configuration of 6+9 meters, now stands as the longest水上 steel trestle along the entire route. It serves as the vital transportation artery across the Qiandao Lake reservoir area, providing a solid foundation for the main structure construction work that lies ahead.
The structure includes one widened platform at the main pier and another at a side pier, creating generous work areas for cantilever beam formwork placement and concrete pouring operations. Additionally, 25 drilling platforms and auxiliary trestles have been established to support pile foundation and pier construction activities, ensuring smooth and efficient construction operations throughout the project.
The successful opening of this steel trestle bridge represents a crucial breakthrough in the水上 construction schedule. The Hangzhou section of the Hangzhou-Chun'an-Kaihua Expressway spans a total of 184.4 kilometers, with 163.6 kilometers of new construction and 20.8 kilometers sharing the existing Qianhuang Expressway corridor. The project carries an approved investment of approximately 45.43 billion yuan and is scheduled for a 48-month construction period.
As an integral component of the national G2531 Expressway network connecting Hangzhou to Shangrao, this major transportation corridor will link the districts of Fuyang, Tonglu, and Chun'an before reaching Kaihua in Quzhou. Once operational, it will serve as a key interprovincial route between Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, playing a vital role in advancing the Yangtze River Delta integration initiative and supporting the region's new development framework.
