According to a client report, Bank of America has resumed coverage of Oracle Corporation with a "Buy" rating and a $200 price target, making the company's stock a market focus on Wednesday.

Analyst Tal Liani stated that the rating reflects a balanced view between accelerating demand for AI infrastructure and the company's timing of transformation and capital requirements. The $200 price target implies approximately 30% upside from current levels.

Liani noted that remaining performance obligations related to long-term AI training and cloud infrastructure commitments total $553 billion. The analyst indicated that this backlog provides visibility for growth, but Oracle must demonstrate its ability to deliver and convert long-term contracts into revenue.

Key debates facing Oracle in the coming years include the timing of backlog conversion, customer concentration (with OpenAI accounting for a significant portion of current performance obligations), and the capital intensity of AI infrastructure build-out. Liani stated that the company appears to have solid plans in these areas.
