A netizen claiming to be the girl's cousin posted that local assistance workers and relatives repeatedly advised against the trip before she left, warning that overseas spending could trigger a dynamic review of the family's allowance status, yet the girl still proceeded with the journey.

Upon her return, civil affairs authorities initiated a review based on her exit records, and online posts allege the entire family's subsistence allowance was subsequently revoked. By September 6th, reporters noted that the original post had been deleted. In response, the Ganzhou Civil Affairs Bureau stated that both the municipal level and subordinate county and district offices are currently investigating the matter, though the specific situation has not yet been confirmed.

Legal expert Li Su, a lawyer at the Shanghai branch of Beijing Huicheng Law Firm, analyzed that if the online claims prove accurate, the subsistence allowance determination is based on the family's overall economic status, and recipient families must undergo dynamic checks. Self-funded overseas tourism and entertainment fall under high-consumption review criteria, and if applicable, subsistence benefits can be lawfully terminated. However, the lawyer also pointed out that whether a single entertainment expense is sufficient to revoke the entire family's allowance remains open for discussion under the principle of administrative proportionality.
