A new intelligent assistant designed to combat telecom and online fraud has officially launched, aiming to elevate the country's defenses through advanced technology.

Developed under the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security's Criminal Investigation Bureau and created by the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, the National Anti-Fraud AI app is now available to the public. The application leverages large language models, multimodal AI, and intelligent agent technology to help users identify fraudulent schemes with greater ease.

With this tool, users can simply input a suspicious scenario directly into their phones. The system then conducts a full risk assessment, identifies potential scam patterns, and provides relevant case examples. It breaks down fraudulent tactics through text, voice, and video formats, offering comprehensive guidance on how to spot and counteract deception.

Where to begin

The app's first major feature is its AI-powered smart Q&A. When a user submits a question, the system responds from multiple perspectives, including scam risk analysis, fraud type identification, and prevention strategies. It also links related video cases in real time, delivering practical knowledge and scenario evaluations.

Another key feature is the anti-fraud news section. This area integrates content from the National Anti-Fraud Center and Shanghai's "803" new media platforms, providing regular updates on the latest fraud dynamics, alerts on high-incidence scam types, and detailed breakdowns of typical cases. Content is presented through text, images, and short videos to keep users informed about emerging fraud tactics.

Beyond the core tools

The app also includes a comprehensive anti-fraud dictionary. It houses digital versions of the "Telecom and Online Fraud Prevention Handbook" and the "National Fraud Prevention Guide." Users can browse by category, search by keywords, or listen to audio narrations, making it simple to systematically learn about fraud prevention.

The National Anti-Fraud AI app is now available for download across major mobile app stores, with WeChat and Alipay mini-programs also open for access. These platforms ensure that users can quickly experience the full suite of intelligent anti-fraud services whenever they need them.
