August Sees Factory Gate Prices Climb 3.8% Year-on-Year, Input Costs Surge 5.8%

Official data from the statistics bureau reveals that in August 2026, producer prices for factory goods rose 3.8% compared to the same month last year, with a monthly increase of 0.4%.

Meanwhile, the purchasing prices for industrial producers, reflecting input costs, advanced 5.8% year-on-year and edged up 0.3% from the previous month.

For the January-to-August period, factory gate prices averaged 2.0% higher than the corresponding timeframe last year, while purchasing prices for producers increased by an average of 3.2%.
