At a State Council Information Office press conference on September 10th, themed around the 15th Five-Year Plan's financial sector initiatives, a senior securities regulator disclosed significant shifts in the country's capital market landscape.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) Vice Chairman Li Chao reported that since the start of 2024, technology-driven enterprises have accounted for over 90% of all newly listed companies. This surge in innovative listings has propelled the total market capitalization of the technology sector to grow by more than 80% compared to previous levels.

In parallel with this expansion, the regulator emphasized its commitment to refining the routine delisting mechanism. Li noted that 108 companies have undergone smooth and orderly delistings since 2024, reflecting a more mature and dynamic market ecosystem that balances new entries with exits.
