Online vehicle auctioneer Copart agreed to acquire peer ACV Auctions in an all-cash deal of about $1.9 billion, marking its entry into dealer-to-dealer wholesale remarketing. ACV Auctions shares soared 42.7%.
Oracle rose 4.35%. The company beat fiscal first quarter estimates with adjusted EPS of $1.92 on $19.3 billion in revenue, raised its fiscal 2027 EPS outlook to $8.10 from $8.05, and flagged cloud infrastructure sales more than doubling with GPU utilization at 97.9%.
Robinhood fell 2.12%. August operating metrics showed equity notional trading volume rose 1% to $335 billion, options contracts declined 10% to 293 million, crypto volume surged 61% to $17.5 billion, funded customers reached 28.6 million, and platform assets increased 8% to $384 billion.
Adobe fell 2.05%. The company topped fiscal third quarter expectations, with adjusted EPS of $6.13, but shares eased as investors weighed guidance and AI monetization amid debate over long term growth durability despite product updates including native AI audio generation in Firefly.
