Recently, the Guangzhou Music Park officially opened, dedicating 100,000 square meters in the city center to embed a "never-ending concert" into the park experience. The atmosphere is brimming with the energy of everyday life, where a walk can lead to a live show.
Many visitors have praised the on-site experience, which combines a lively market with an immersive concert atmosphere. They noted that the previously quiet area has suddenly become vibrant and full of life. With resident performances on weekdays, medium-sized shows on weekends, and large-scale music festivals for tens of thousands during holidays, the park brings live music into daily life—though simply having a space isn't enough to just "hit the mic" anytime, anywhere.
Seventy percent of the world's stage lighting equipment comes from China, with 85% of that manufactured in Guangdong. The light shows, surround sound, and giant screen effects you may have cheered for at top-tier concerts are all "tested" here. Huang Zhihui, the head of the Guangzhou Music Park, told reporters that the park is equipped with a large amount of professional lighting and special effects equipment. Visual and audio effects that were once only seen at mega-concerts can now be easily experienced in this park.
Guangdong has ranked first nationally in original song registrations for five consecutive years, adding 42,000 new copyright registrations in 2025, accounting for 23.6% of the national total. According to the "2025 Guangdong Performance Market Development Report," Guangdong leads the country in both box office revenue and number of large-scale commercial performances.
Beyond just a performance venue, the park serves as an incubator for original music. Huang Zhihui noted that, unlike most music parks that only offer performance spaces, this one provides a complete creative support system for singers and production teams, offering one-stop services from planning and design to production and final presentation. Singer Mike Tsang told reporters that the park's 365-day music atmosphere provides original musicians with more opportunities to meet fans and allows more quality works to be heard.
From "selling equipment" to "creating experiences," and from "hosting performances" to "cultivating an ecosystem," music and parks share a common gene of inclusiveness. The stage is set—the next hit song may very well begin right here.
