Tennor Therap-B (06872) shares jumped more than 15% in early trading, following a series of positive announcements. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 4.46% to HK$175.5 with a turnover of approximately HK$14.22 million.

The surge was triggered by the company's announcement on September 7 regarding its first-in-class triple-target drug, Rifasutenizol (TNP-2092). The Phase IIa proof-of-concept clinical trial involving intra-articular injection for the treatment of prosthetic joint infections (PJI) achieved positive top-line results, exceeding expectations.

Based on this promising data, the multi-center Phase IIb clinical trial has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration and has been officially initiated recently. Separately, on September 7, Shenzhen Stock Exchange announced that, per the relevant rules of the implementation measures, adjustments have been made to the list of securities eligible for Stock Connect, taking effect from the same day. As a result, Tennor Therap-B shares have been added to the eligible list for southbound trading through the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. This inclusion is expected to broaden the company's shareholder base, attract long-term institutional investors, and enhance the liquidity of its shares.
