During the 2026 interim results briefing held on September 8, Xiamen Bank Co.,Ltd. Deputy President and Board Secretary Xie Tonghua highlighted that the bank's net interest margin (NIM) has achieved a turning point upward in the first half of 2026, driven by continuous improvements in asset structure and more refined liability management.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Xie stated that the bank will persist in its efforts to stabilize the NIM. On the asset side, the focus will be on optimizing the asset mix, fine-tuning loan allocations, strengthening loan pricing controls, and enhancing investment configurations to support a relatively stable asset yield.
On the liability side, Xiamen Bank Co.,Ltd. plans to manage maturing deposit transitions, improve the internal composition of deposits, and seize market opportunities to issue low-cost bonds. Additionally, the bank will fully leverage the central bank's monetary policies to diversify its funding sources, driving down liability costs steadily and reinforcing the momentum of NIM recovery.
