Qingdao Port's project, "Shandong's Creation of the Qingdao Smart Port Fully Automated Container Terminal," was successfully selected as the only case from Shandong Province to make the list. This recognition at the national level serves as a strong endorsement of Qingdao Port's contributions to advancing the national transportation power initiative and its deep commitment to developing smart port technologies.

As the world's leading and China's first fully domestically produced, fully autonomous automated terminal, the Qingdao Port Fully Automated Container Terminal has consistently pursued collaborative research between industry, academia, and research institutions. By breaking through foreign technological blockades, it has achieved full autonomy and control over its core systems, key equipment, and both hardware and software. The terminal has shattered the world record for automated terminal handling efficiency thirteen times, with an average single-machine efficiency of 62.62 natural containers per hour for its quay cranes. Its throughput exceeds 320,000 TEUs per 100 meters of berth line, and it has been recognized as the nation's first "dual five-star" port for both intelligence and green development, setting a benchmark for smart port construction.

Leveraging its independently developed technological achievements, Qingdao Port is actively promoting the replication and dissemination of its technical expertise. This has formed a promotion pathway spanning "provincial, national, and international" levels, bringing China's mature smart port solutions to the global stage. It stands as a model for achieving high-level technological self-reliance and fostering new quality productive forces.

This selection as a national pilot case for transportation power construction, securing the sole spot for Shandong Province, represents both a significant honor and a compelling mission for the times.
