Heavy rainfall triggered by Typhoon "Sadel" caused a sudden mudslide in the Shixia group of Mingkeng Village, Gaoping Town, Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province, on September 5. As of 6 p.m. on September 7, significant progress has been made in the county's post-disaster "four connections" restoration work.

In terms of road access, a total of 230 collapse sites have been reported on national and provincial highways, with only the Yingpanwei section of the S546 line still under repair. Local roads below the county level have suffered 1,601 damage points, including 424 on county roads, with only the Huangjin Village to Yangxi Village section of the X051 Hezuo Line still unopened.

Restoration of rural water, electricity, road, and network services is progressing steadily. Among the county's 297 administrative villages, 286 have regained road access, accounting for 96.3 percent, with the remaining 11 villages currently being connected. Network services have been restored in 275 villages, representing 92.6 percent, while 22 villages are still awaiting reconnection. Power supply has been reinstated in 269 villages, or 90.6 percent, leaving 28 villages without electricity. Water supply has resumed in 243 villages, covering 81.8 percent, with 54 villages still pending restoration.

Overall, the county's emergency rescue and disaster relief operations continue to advance as authorities work to restore normalcy for affected residents.
