Indonesia's forestry ministry declared on Friday that it has suspended the forest operation permits (PBPH) of five enterprises following fire outbreaks detected within their concession zones in West Kalimantan.

The affected companies are Mahkota Rimba Utama, Hutan Ketapang Industri, Mayawana Persada Mas, Duta Andalan Sukses, and Wana Lestari Jaya. The ministry has mandated that these entities carry out ecological restoration measures on the fire-affected territories.

Collectively, the five concession areas have suffered approximately 2,569 hectares of scorched land, with the Mahkota Rimba zone bearing the heaviest toll at roughly 1,276 hectares. This latest action follows earlier penalties imposed on an additional six companies operating within the Kalimantan region.
