In the ecological duck breeding base of Duoji Village, Hrun Town, Jingxi City, Guangxi, the final batch of mallard ducks was successfully loaded and shipped, marking the complete sell-out of nearly 1,000 birds from the facility.

As a designated assistance village for China Mobile Guangxi Company, Duoji Village has capitalized on its pristine natural environment. With robust industrial and consumer support from China Mobile, this mallard breeding project has become the largest in the entire town, achieving both increased production and higher income.

Located deep in karst landscape terrain, Duoji Village boasts rich water and mountain resources, including the renowned Wanlong Cave. In recent years, the First Secretary dispatched by China Mobile, Yu Ximbiao, has championed ecological conservation and green development principles, harnessing the area's high-quality environment for sustainable farming operations.

Under the free-range system using flowing water, the mallards feed on mountain insects and grasses while drinking from natural springs. This results in tender, flavorful meat with strong market recognition. To address the challenges of labor-intensive traditional breeding management, Duoji Village has leveraged its digital rural development achievements, installing intelligent monitoring equipment throughout the breeding base via China Mobile's communication network.

Village officials can now monitor breeding activities in real-time through the village committee terminal, enabling round-the-clock, comprehensive supervision. This innovation significantly reduces labor costs while enhancing precision management, laying solid groundwork for stable production and increased revenue.

Multi-pronged consumer assistance has bridged the gap between production and sales. Government-enterprise collaboration has formed a powerful joint force: the Hrun Town government mobilized officials to participate in consumer assistance initiatives, while China Mobile Baise Company and the Guangxi Mobile Rural Revitalization Office took proactive steps to connect with internal departments and partners through "purchase-as-support" programs, continuously expanding mallard sales channels.

Given the local tradition of consuming duck during the Zhongyuan Festival, First Secretary Yu Ximbiao and village officials strategically timed their sales efforts around this holiday window, ensuring robust demand and premium pricing for their products.

Beyond initial sales support, the village has extended its industrial chain to maximize benefits for residents. A temporary processing team was formed from surplus village labor to handle duck slaughtering, cleaning, and packaging. Additionally, villagers were hired to weave specialized duck cages, effectively activating idle workforce capacity.

These initiatives generate supplementary income for residents through slaughter services and handicraft production, allowing community members to share in the added value of the industry chain. This represents a strategic shift from simply selling products to also offering services, creating multiple revenue streams.

In 2025, Duoji Village's collective economic income ranked first in the town, with the China Mobile-supported mallard breeding project serving as a critical pillar. This year, the village has optimized its industrial structure by simultaneously developing pig farming and other diversified operations while continuing mallard production.

According to First Secretary Yu Ximbiao, with various projects progressing steadily, the village's collective economy is expected to maintain its leading position this year.

In recent years, China Mobile has deeply implemented the national rural revitalization strategy. Positioning itself as a "leader in digitally empowering rural revitalization," the company has invested a cumulative 1.44 billion yuan in uncompensated assistance funds and introduced 6.83 billion yuan in assistance funds. It has directly purchased and facilitated sales of agricultural products from poverty-alleviated regions totaling 3.3 billion yuan, while dispatching over 6,000 assistance cadres.

In the Baise region, China Mobile continues to strengthen network infrastructure, expanding 5G and gigabit broadband coverage to build a solid digital foundation for rural industrial development. The company is also actively exploring an "information empowerment + industrial cultivation" model, facilitating the transformation from "blood transfusion" assistance to "blood creation" self-sufficiency.
