Fuel Prices Rise at Midnight: Government Intervention Cuts Increase by Approximately 40%

Effective from midnight tonight (the 11th), the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel (standard products) in China will increase by 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne, respectively.
According to the current pricing mechanism, the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel (standard products) should have been raised by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per tonne, respectively, in this adjustment. To mitigate the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market and alleviate the burden on downstream consumers, the state has once again implemented regulatory measures on domestic refined oil product prices. As a result of these measures, the price increase has been reduced by approximately 40%.
