The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Eddie Yue, said that Hong Kong is not only a hub for cross-border capital flows, but also an ideal testing ground for developing, piloting, and scaling green fintech solutions, helping to turn market trends into tangible outcomes.

He noted that the Fintech Promotion Roadmap, released several months ago, provides the banking sector with a clear framework for the responsible adoption of fintech, accelerating the city's progress toward a more data-driven, AI-enabled, and secure financial infrastructure.

Yue also highlighted the Commercial Data Interchange, launched by the HKMA in 2022, which has already facilitated over 100,000 applications and approvals, unlocking approximately HK$90 billion in credit facilities for small and medium-sized enterprises.
