A tech blogger flagged on September 11 that the 1TB top-tier Crimson Peak variant of the Xiaomi 18 Fold had been completely sold out across online retail channels. In response, Xiaomi's co-founder and president Lu Weibing acknowledged the shortage, stating: "The Crimson Peak top-spec model is indeed out of stock across all online channels, and we're accelerating replenishment efforts. However, some offline Xiaomi Stores still have units available, so interested buyers can inquire at their local stores."

The Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable smartphone was officially unveiled on September 7 and went on sale on September 10 at 10:00 AM, with a starting price of 10,999 yuan. The device features a 5.38-inch cover display alongside a 7.58-inch inner screen, both adopting an approximate √2:1 standard paper aspect ratio and supporting LTPO technology with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

The handset debuts with the Xuanjie O3 AI flagship SoC, which incorporates a deca-core all-big-core CPU architecture and a first-of-its-kind 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU. It also leads the industry with CXMT LPDDR6 memory, paired with a 6,000mAh Jinshajiang battery that supports 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

For imaging, the Xiaomi 18 Fold packs a full-focal-range Leica triple-camera setup, including a 200MP Leica primary sensor, a 50MP Leica periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP Leica ultra-wide-angle camera.
