According to reports from PV Headlines, on September 1st, the competitive allocation announcement for the first batch of new energy projects in 2026 was released for Gengma Dai and Wa Autonomous County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province.

The announcement states that this allocation round comprises four separate projects with a combined installed capacity of 600,000 kilowatts. Eligible enterprises may participate in any one or multiple of these projects according to their circumstances. The projects accept consortium bids, with a restriction that consortium members shall not exceed two parties.

Projects are required to commence construction within two months following the filing process. This timeframe may exclude the duration spent on preliminary procedures such as land use, forestry, environmental protection, water conservation, and grid connection approvals, with the exclusion period capped at a maximum of two months. In principle, projects should achieve commissioning readiness within eight months of groundbreaking, and proceed to full-capacity grid connection within one year from the start of construction.

For tea-solar complementary generation projects, regulation resources must be allocated at a ratio of 10% of the installed capacity. Enterprises are encouraged to fulfill this requirement by purchasing shared energy storage services or by constructing new energy storage facilities on their own.
