Upholding the Mission of the Era, Forging New Pathways for Transformation: Yuxian County's Chain-Based Investment Drives Two Major Industrial Chains to Rapid Maturity

At the construction site of the aluminum industry chain integration project in Xiyan Circular Economy Industrial Park, located in Yuxian County Economic and Technological Development Zone, two high-efficiency power transformers and auxiliary equipment have been installed, while three sets of ultra-large-capacity voltage-regulating rectifier transformers have been positioned. Work is advancing steadily and the project is picking up pace. This integration project represents a vital component of Yuxian County's chain-based investment strategy.

Since the start of this year, Yuxian County has embraced industrial chain investment as a core focus, targeting upstream and downstream segments to attract supporting projects. Efforts have been made to continuously improve infrastructure within industrial parks. Through coordinated collaboration among the government, leading enterprises, and the park, a new high-standard investment attraction framework is taking shape. The two major industrial chains, namely deep processing of aluminum and comprehensive utilization of waste resources, are advancing in tandem, progressively building a modern industrial system that reflects Yuxian County's unique characteristics and competitive strengths.

With deep processing of aluminum as the pillar industry, Yuxian County has pioneered the "government plus leading enterprise plus park" chain-based investment model. Centered on the leading enterprise, Shanxi Zhaofeng Aluminum Power New Materials Co., Ltd., the initiative aims to establish a complete industrial chain spanning from bauxite mining to deep aluminum processing and end-product manufacturing. Upstream, the 200,000-ton high-current-density energy-saving carbon material project by Suotong Development has broken ground in the park; its prebaked anode materials will become a key input for electrolytic aluminum production. The project company and Zhaofeng Aluminum Power have formed a close supply-and-demand partnership, where products leaving the workshop can be delivered directly to the electrolytic aluminum line, significantly cutting transportation costs.

"The government has not only brought in the upstream carbon project for us but is also advancing downstream aluminum processing projects in parallel," said Hu Xiaolin, deputy general manager of Shanxi Zhaofeng Aluminum Power New Materials Co., Ltd. He noted that once the first phase is operational this year, production capacity will be fully unleashed, truly achieving the goal of "no aluminum water touching the ground, processed on-site immediately." For the Suotong Development project team, it is precisely the synergy between upstream and downstream created by Yuxian County's chain-based investment that appealed to them. Co-located with Zhaofeng Aluminum Power in the same park, the convenience of industrial supporting facilities has instilled strong confidence in the project's future prospects.

Leveraging abundant mine tailings and industrial waste resources, Yuxian County continues to extend the comprehensive utilization chain for waste resources. With Shanxi Oubeimu Nano Technology Co., Ltd. as the "chain leader," the strategy leverages enterprise-to-enterprise attraction, drawing a host of resource recycling and utilization firms to cluster in the area. On September 6th, in the Xiyan Circular Economy Industrial Park of the development zone, key projects, including the annual 30,000-ton waste activated carbon regeneration initiative by Shanxi Ruida and the annual 6,000-ton waste catalyst comprehensive utilization project by Hongsheng Yitong, are progressing steadily and are set to commence formal production soon. To date, Yuxian County has fostered and attracted 18 solid waste utilization enterprises and projects.

"We fully leverage the park's well-developed infrastructure and notable industrial clustering effects, building close industrial chain synergy with the aluminum enterprises here to achieve on-site conversion and internal recycling of waste," said Xiao Wanghu, general manager of Shanxi Ruida Renewable Resources Technology Co., Ltd.. Guo Qiang, executive deputy general manager of Shanxi Oubeimu Nano Technology Co., Ltd., echoed this sentiment: for sand and powder enterprises, the most scientifically sound plant siting logic is proximity to resource bases rather than markets. The park's exceptional resource advantages resolve raw material supply issues, while comprehensive support allows the enterprise to operate with peace of mind, focusing more on technical R&D and product upgrades.

From deep processing of aluminum to comprehensive utilization of waste resources, chain-based investment is weaving complete industrial loops across Yuxian County, fueling sustained momentum for high-quality development of the county's economy.
