Shares of SBP GROUP (01177) advanced nearly 3% in Hong Kong trading, last up 2.74% at HK$5.62 with turnover reaching HK$111 million.

On September 7, the company announced that its subsidiary, Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (CTTQ), had presented two Phase I clinical study datasets for its self-developed TQC3721 dry powder inhaler (DPI), a PDE3/4 inhibitor, at the European Respiratory Society 2026 Annual Congress (ERS 2026).

TQC3721 is a novel-mechanism PDE3/4 inhibitor independently developed by CTTQ, designed to alleviate symptoms and suppress inflammation through the dual action of bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory effects. For the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the nebulized suspension formulation of TQC3721 has demonstrated best-in-class potential in a Phase IIb study. This formulation is currently undergoing Phase III clinical trials in China and has been included in the Breakthrough Therapy Drug List by the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of China's National Medical Products Administration. Additionally, the dry powder inhalation formulation has yielded positive top-line data in its Phase II clinical trial.
