Oracle announced on Monday that it has appointed Hillary Maxson as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Maxson assumes the role as the growth in demand for artificial intelligence computing and cloud database services is outpacing current production capacity, prompting the company to accelerate its investments in data centers and infrastructure.

Oracle stated that prior to joining, she served as Group Chief Financial Officer at Schneider Electric, an energy management and automation company with annual revenues exceeding $450 billion.

Following this appointment, Doug Kelin will step down from his position as Oracle's CFO and return to overseeing the company's marketing-related business.
