The first seafarer-friendly hotel in Chongqing has officially commenced operations in Wushan County on September 2. Jointly established by the Wushan Maritime Safety Agency and local shipping enterprises including Chongqing Shennü Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., the initiative targets the urgent needs of the seafarer community by addressing high-frequency demands such as onshore accommodation and supplies delivery.

Located directly opposite Gucheng Wharf at Hanting Hotel Wushan, the hotel's prime positioning allows seafarers convenient access to rest and handle administrative matters upon docking. A seafarer service station on the hotel's second floor complements the accommodation, creating an integrated service network that extends party-building support into every aspect of seafarers' daily lives. The station is thoughtfully divided into four functional zones: daily living services, learning and training, party-building activities, and publicity display, catering to diverse requirements such as organizational engagement, skills development, and practical conveniences. This setup truly embodies the principle of offering guidance before voyages, a home during berthing, organizational backing in emergencies, and warmth upon return.

Currently, the hotel provides seafarers with an exclusive 20% discount on accommodations and has set up a parcel collection point. Meanwhile, the special party branch of the Wushan seafarer industry has unveiled eight service measures for seafarers, encompassing political guidance, organizational coverage, assistance initiatives, humanistic care, model cultivation, and certificate processing. Through itemized supply and customized services, these measures aim to reduce administrative burdens, safeguard lawful rights, and transform the station into a dependable haven for seafarers coming ashore. Looking ahead, the Wushan seafarer industry's party branch will continue leveraging the station to implement these eight measures, translating party-building strengths into effective industry governance. This ongoing effort seeks to enhance seafarers' sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security, thereby fostering high-quality growth in Wushan's waterway transport economy.
