On September 7th, the Social Affairs Administration Bureau of the Ganzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone issued an official statement addressing recent online rumors. The statement clarified that reports circulating on the internet, which alleged that a teenage girl from Jiangxi had her family's subsistence allowance revoked after traveling to Hong Kong for a concert, have been taken seriously by the authorities.

Upon noticing the viral claims, the bureau said it acted swiftly by establishing a dedicated task force to launch a comprehensive investigation. The probe has since determined that the individual referred to in the online posts is a local resident identified by the surname Huang. It was confirmed that Huang had indeed traveled to Hong Kong on her own to attend a concert, which subsequently triggered a dynamic monitoring alert for subsistence allowance recipients.

Following the alert, community officials proactively contacted the family to explain the relevant policies and provide a reminder about the regulations. The family members, concerned that this trip might lead to the cancellation of their benefits, decided to post information online in hopes of seeking assistance and clarification.

The bureau has confirmed that it is currently conducting a thorough review of both the online claims and the family's actual circumstances, and it will handle the matter in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations once the verification process is complete.
