Shimao Services issues update after SSE censures Shanghai Shimao, imposes six-year director ban on Chairman Hui

Shimao Services Holdings Limited released an announcement on 24 August 2026 under Hong Kong Listing Rule 13.51B(2), disclosing disciplinary action taken by the Shanghai Stock Exchange against its controlling shareholder, Shanghai Shimao, and the Group’s chairman, Mr. Hui Sai Tan, Jason.

The SSE Decision publicly censured Shanghai Shimao and Mr. Hui for breaches of information-disclosure regulations and declared Mr. Hui unsuitable to serve as a director, supervisor or senior executive of securities issuers for six years.

Shimao Services’ board—excluding Mr. Hui—stated that, based on current information, the disciplinary measures are not expected to have a material adverse impact on the Group’s business or operations. The company will continue to evaluate any implications, including Mr. Hui’s director suitability under Hong Kong Listing Rule 3.08, and will inform the market of significant developments.

Beyond the matters outlined, the board confirmed there is no further information regarding Mr. Hui that requires disclosure under Listing Rules 13.51(2)(h)–(v).

The board currently comprises Executive Directors Mr. Hui Sai Tan, Jason (Chairman) and Mr. Jiang Lifeng (President), along with Independent Non-executive Directors Ms. Zhou Xinyi and Mr. Hui Wai Man, Lawrence.
