Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves rose by $7.63 billion to $601.90 billion as of the end of August, the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) said in a Friday release.
The pace compared with a $2.88 billion decrease recorded at the end of the previous month.
The central bank attributed the change to returns from foreign exchange reserves management, exchange rate movements of other reserve currencies against the USD, and measures by the central bank to smooth out volatile capital flows.
