0200 GMT - NextDC's bull at Jefferies reckons the Australian data-center operator is "laser-focused" on generating returns above its cost of capital. Analyst Roger Samuel tells clients in a note that the investor briefing that followed NextDC's annual result announcement showed the ASX-listed company focusing on delivering the right returns, with an expectation that hyperscale development generates a minimum 10% yield on cost. Samuel says NextDC is exploring new funding structures including asset-backed finance, joint ventures and potentially offshore wholesale markets in future. Jefferies has a buy rating on the stock and a target price of 17.00 Australian dollars. Shares are down 4.8% at A$13.15.
