Euro Credit Default Swap Costs Rise as U.S.-Iran Tensions Flare Up

0929 GMT - The cost of insuring euro-denominated credit against default climbs as risk appetite weakens after the U.S. and Iran resumed hostilities over the weekend. The U.S. said it struck three Iranian oil tankers on Saturday after Iran launched attacks toward two Navy warships. The iTraxx Europe Crossover index of euro high-yield credit default swaps rises 1 basis point to 250bps, S&P Global Market Intelligence data show.
