XPeng (XPEV) commissioned its humanoid robot assembly facility and completed initial manufacturing of its Iron model, the company said Monday.
The facility features over 80% core process automation to support volume manufacturing. The robot contains 76 degrees of freedom in its body and runs on three internal AI processors.
XPeng expects to begin volume production by the end of 2026 ahead of commercial deliveries in 2027, it said.
