Lihua Animal Husbandry's Chicken Sales Revenue Jumps 14% in August

Jiangsu Lihua Animal Husbandry's (SHE:300761) chicken sales revenue rose in August, while revenue from hog sales dropped in the same month.

The company's shares rose 1% during Tuesday's afternoon trade.

Revenue from chicken sales jumped 14% year on year to 1.50 billion yuan from 1.32 billion yuan, according to a Monday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.

About 53.8 million chickens were sold, up 2.4% from 52.6 million a year earlier. The average price is 12.67 yuan per kilogram.

The Chinese livestock company generated 297 million yuan from hog sales, dropping 16% from 352 million yuan a year earlier.

The company sold 216,900 hogs, a 4.2% rise from 208,200 hogs sold in the same month in the prior year. The average price is 11.12 yuan per kilogram.
