Tredegar's chief executive, Arijit DasGupta, is taking over the industrial manufacturer's two primary operating divisions following the exit of a key business unit head.

Tredegar said the recently appointed general manager of Bonnell Aluminum, Carl Czarnik, has departed the company.

DasGupta will assume overall business leadership and responsibility for both Bonnell and the company's High-Performance Films business segments.

The management consolidation comes as the company advances its "One Tredegar" restructuring plan to eliminate division-level executive layers. The company said it is shifting towards a single enterprise-wide model.

"We are assertively moving from a holding-company structure toward an operating-company model, bringing accountability closer to the enterprise level and reducing top-heavy leadership layers," DasGupta said.
