SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) executives, including CFO Yoshimitsu Goto, are expected to meet New York investors next week to gauge demand for a potential dollar-denominated junk bond, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The investor meetings, hosted at Citigroup's office and arranged by major banks, are exploratory and not tied to a specific offering, the report said.

The Japanese firm is reportedly considering raising $10 billion to $20 billion, the report said.

Softbank, Citi, Goldman Sachs Group, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
