0537 GMT - U.S. Treasury yields rise in Asian trade, extending Thursday's gains and hitting new multiyear highs across maturities. The two-year Treasury yield hit 4.596%, the highest since July 2024; the 10-year yield rose to 4.979%, the highest since October 2023, and the 30-year hit 5.384%, the highest since 2007, according to Tradeweb. The 10-year yield is now only a few basis points shy of the 5.00% mark, "as the U.S. Treasury buyback operation fell short of expectations," Danske Bank's Filip Andersson says in a note.
