GOP's Senate Candidate in North Carolina Says Party is Fighting 'Radical Extreme' Agenda

Michael Whatley, a former Republican National Committee chairman and his party's Senate nominee in North Carolina, told the GOP gathering in Dallas that they were battling extremism.

"I will fight to keep the Democrat's radical extreme, far-left agenda out of the Senate," said Whatley, who is running for an open Senate seat against former Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper. The race is rated as "lean Democrat" by nonpartisan analysts, and Cooper is leading in polls.
